This is my first home and I'm replacing the carpet with laminate. I feel as though I may have gotten into more than I can handle but maybe some advice can put that at ease. There are 2 things I feel will be my biggest obstacles. It's a split entry home with a railing going along the ledge where the main level meets the entry way. The way it fastens makes it so the flange and the hardware are about 1/2 inch above the subfloor. Would I be better off to use a router and creat a pocket for that to sit in or to creat a cap out of molding that matches the floor?Where you enter the tiled bathroom from the hall there is a 1 inch difference between the subfloor and top of the tile. Is this too much of a difference for a transition? via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2tSzv2h
