So I just moved into my girlfriend's house and I've decided to tackle a number of projects to improve it. First on the list are the old as fuck bathroom fans that do almost nothing. As you can see in these pictures I have very little room to work as the diameter of the hole is 8-3/4" and surrounded in tile. I have looked for a replacement fan assembly with a round inlet like this but it seems like these days only square ones are available. So as far as dealing with this problem is concerned, my question is 3 fold:Are there fans that fit this type of circular shape readily available? If so, where can I purchase one?Is there a way I can cut the tile to accommodate a new fan and housing? I've heard that tile is brutal for making a mess and due to its brittle properties can be easy to fuck up.A friend suggested possibly replacing the fan with an inline blower, which seems like a great idea except for that I've read that inline blowers can be a problem for places with cold climates (I live in Manitoba, hot summers, freezing cold winters). I'd be more than happy to spend the money and do the work for one of these if it's a viable option.Side note: I work in a machine shop and have access to almost every tool under the sun, from die grinders to angle grinders, hacksaw, Dremel, etc..Thank you for your help. via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2tVcYC9
