AlbumSo my wife did not want me to do this but I figured she would like it once it is done. Its main purpose is to provide a play area for my toddler son with another baby on the way. When she went out of town, I cut under the stairs and finished it to look like a playroom/storage room. However, she got home and is pissed because she wants it to look more like part of the house - drywall, painted, etc. I went with the smoothest plywood I can find and used that instead of trying to install drywall under there. Plus, I can hang things easily on the plywood, beat it up a little, etc.How will this look if I paint the plywood to match the interior walls of the house? Will it pass for drywall? Will it make it look a lot nicer or still have that plywood feel?Should I cover the ceiling and under the stairs? I don't want it to feel too confined. What about around the opening? Any suggestions on whether or not to mess with the wall leading into the area?I am going to put a fun door on it but I am not sure which way to go. Leaning towards some sort of sliding barn door.I am also going to replace that rubber with carpet. I think that will make a big difference. via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2uFzKmh
