I have a privacy lock in my bathroom, the version where you twist it to lock it and it has a key on the front. I locked myself out of the bathroom and used the credit card method (with an aggressive knife, which is where I assume I caused damage) to pop the thingy that keeps it in the door frame back into the door, but its not opening now. When I close it, the metal bar that keeps it in the door frame goes back into place (as if its locked) but then I can slip something in and pop it into the door as if to open it, and it just stays locked.
