Issue: My father's current work car is a complete piece of trash, a 15 year old van that is like 90% rust. I think that at this point it is truly dangerous to drive. The car did not have good safety rating out of the factory and is even worse now. Our family income is over 400k per year, so being able to afford a new (or even a few years old, I just want it to be MODERN) basic minivan for his business not an issue. He just does not want to get a new one because "the current one works fine" - it does not. How do I convince my father to get a new car? Edit: People seem to think that I want my father to get me a new car, no. I have a simple car. I just want him to get one that wont chop off his legs in an event of a minor collision.
