I've recently graduated high school and I have one significant problem - I can't seem to save. My parents make pretty decent money so I've been given mostly everything in my life so far. A nice car(2014 civic Si), gaming systems, a place to live, and as far as I know they're paying for most of my college. Although I appreciate all of this so much, I'm worried that I will have a really tough time transitioning into the real world with my issue. When I first got my job(I make decent money for an 18 year old but I started when I was 15), I was saving a good amount of money but I got a girlfriend and found myself spending a lot of money on video games and tech, and my savings began to deplete. I now only have around $1000 in my savings and about $2000 from graduation gifts. I need advice on what I should do, what mentalities to have, and how to save the remaining money I have before it's too late.
