I live in the Chicagoland area. One of (the most used) newel posts on my stairway is very loose. We moved into the house 3 years ago and the post is slowly loosening. My wife's father is handicapped and leans on this post very hard when leaving our house. Is there anything I can do to fix it or do I need to completely redo the railings? I was thinking about getting a newel post bracket kit but I think it would look bad since I would only be able to fit 3 of the molding pieces since a part of the railing is in the way. As far as my skill level I am comfortable with saws and drills. I've never used a router but am not afraid to. I've built 3 tables, speakers (pre-cut wood), fixed wobbly chairs ... things like that. Thanks for any help. via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2uWd0yy
