Most colleges, including 2 year community colleges offer free Microsoft programs (word, excel, powerpoint) as long as you're enrolled in school.
A quick google search of your school name + free software should be enough to get you started. Such as: "CSUF free software"
If that doesn't work, search on your school's website/contact your school advisor.
