Hello all! Currently wearing glasses but I'd really like to start using contacts again - haven't used contacts since a few years ago in high school but stopped due to cost. I also don't have vision insurance. From what I've read here and other forums, 1800contacts is the cheapest route for buying contacts themselves. But I don't have a current contact prescription. From a brief search online, the cheapest contact exam is America's Best. Anyone have any experience there or know of anywhere cheaper?

In addition, my current pair of glasses is pretty beat up. I'd like to try a new pair (or even 2) at Zenni. My last glasses exam was at Walmart just over a year ago. Does Zenni require a current prescription or do you just put the prescription information in when you order online? Also, if I call Walmart optical and ask them for information from my old prescription, will they give it to me? I would rather not have to pay for another glasses exam right now if my old one works perfectly well.

Thank you all for any input! Looking at old threads has been insanely helpful since I discovered this sub.
