Hey r/DIY, hoping you can offer me some advice with how to proceed in my predicament. Spilt some cold milk on my gas hob a couple of days ago, causing a powercut in our house. Had to turn the hob off at the wall because an RCD switch had been triggered in our fuse box and could only be reset when the hob was switched off, so I knew that was where we had an issue. Left the hob to dry out, and the next day it was working fine.Used it at lunch and dinner no problem, but then later on, we went to light a burner and the clicky noise you get when igniting the stove kept on going and going, and only now stops when the hob is turned off at the wall. I should mention we have Zanussi ZGG62414SA gas hob with automatic integrated ignition, so to light all you do is hold down the dial for the burner you want lit and it starts firing the ignitor. When the stove is powered, the igniters on all four burners start sparking continuosly. I filmed a quick video to demo this.At the moment we're looking at replacement hobs, but we don't know if there's some cheaper/easier electrical repair work that could be done here. Any advice would be appreciated! via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2tDhmsG
