Hi all. I'm rather new to the whole DIY thing. My girlfriend and I recently started renting an apartment with a huuuuuge outdoor deck area. It isnt super nice or comfortable so I was thinking of just laying a ton of astroturf over it to make it look a little nicer and easier to hangout on.My questions are:1- We like to grill and have an outdoor chimney type fireplace, will a little coal or ash mess it up big time?2- We live close to the ocean and in an area where every morning there's usually some moisture out there even in the summer.
