Let's face it, Movie night in, board game night, Picnics etc. can still leave you and your S/O restless sometimes, especially when the weather is nice, and downtown is bumping.

So, let's get some date night ideas going.

My favorite one my wife and I have done we called Happy Hour Hopping. I'm on a rotating schedule, and my wife has fridays off, so once about every 6 weeks I get out of work at 3pm. 3pm-7pm in downtown is usually when happy hour is going on (and usually when people are still at work, or wrapping up right before they end)

So, we head on down to Downtown, and start hopping from place to place! One stop had a dozen oysters for $1 each! Started off with that, and a side of Salmon Pate for $4. $16

Moved on to a B spot burger a few spots over, has a 6 pack of fresh sliders for $9, and ALL DRAFT BEERS ARE $3 (if you're not familiar with B spot, they have excellent craft beer selections), normal sized pours! Grabbed 2 drinks, a side of $1 pork cracklins (Holy moly were these good) and a six pack of sliders. $32 total

After that we wandered around downtown for about an hour, as I'm sure you could imagine we're getting a little full. It was fun to check out some shops, window shop at others and people watch. Eventually, we got thirsty and found a sushi place with another happy hour.

$3 Shrimp Tempura Rolls, $1 Miller tall drafts (Hey, it's cold and has alcohol in it) $2 well drinks and $3 pot stickers. Got a couple rolls, a beer for me, a drink for her and pot stickers. $46

Of course there was some tipping (but we have a random cash/change jar we pull that from) But we were able to hit multiple locations, enjoy the town and get that restlessness out of our system for much less than if we went just 3 hours later.

Any other ideas you like to do?
