I've recently started bulking to gain some muscle. However, I'm coming off a long period of weight loss and I'm used to eating less (shout out to /r/1200isplenty). My meal plans are filling and I get all the nutrition I need, but leave myself 800-1000 Calories/day short of what I should be eating to bulk.
Ideally this should probably be carbs (though I'll happily eat more fat too), but I'm pretty unimaginative in the kitchen (and also lazy) so I've just been eating rice and lentils. I also don't drink pop, so drinking my calories as milk or juice can get pricey (I'm in Canada and dairy isn't cheap).
Ideas for frugal filler food? Like I said, all my macro and micronutrient needs are met, so this just needs to be cheap.
