I'm an IT guy for a school. I love the group I work with and the employees I interact with. My daughter is in the district and it's a joy to be able to see her. The problem is, they pay below the county average. They lump IT into a secretary group because we aren't union. I've gotten 2 3% raises the past two years. I'm still not at the county average. My boss doesn't stand up for us to administration. He doesn't fight for our pay increases. I'm barely supporting my daughter and I. I'm currently looking into getting another part time job to supplement. I just got the 3% raise that starts in July. Boss knows we are very unhappy with the pay. My only option is to have to leave, isn't it? Thank you for the input.
