I'm a fan of personal finance and budgeting. We with my wife have been keeping track of our spending for more than 5 years. But I am not 100% percent satisfied with our monthly saving level and want to improve its efficiency. Here are some of our family saving tips:

  • My wife and I use joint notes in Evernote and we go to weekly large purchases of products only with this list. Not only can it help us buy items that fit with our meal plan, but also help avoid buying food that can deteriorate.

  • We agreed with my wife that we do not make unplanned purchases for more than 30 $. If there is a desire to buy something, then we pause for at least one day. As a result, we are much less likely to make purchases, which are not really very valuable for us.

  • We also draw up a monthly budget, where we plan revenues, expenses, and savings. We plan savings at the level of 10% of the planned revenues and only then proceed to the planning of costs. You can read more about my family tips and trick on a link http://ift.tt/2tnLLrU.

  • We also have a rule that we save 50% of unplanned revenues in savings.

Could you please share your hacks and tips of how to save more money?
