I work overseas for a private security firm,

I'm 29, I take home 4400 biweekly after taxes. I pay about 1200 monthly in car and rent which I save about 7600 monthly.

I have about 40k in savings and 4 years of post 9/11 GI bill left. I have no bills overseas as everything is paid for I come home 2 1/2 months every year to go back to being human again. I want to get into investing but every bank or finance manager that I talk to seems very shady.. I will end up living Afghanistan/Iraq in about 7 more years or in a body bag lol which ever comes first.

I'm not married and am frugal.(except on buying guns,no I'm not a prepper)

Ultimately I want to leave the security world and retire as a photographer at 37 ,I've spent just about 7 years solidly deployed the other time training.

I was wondering if I should start looking for a business to invest to, I have zero debt and don't want to take out loan. Losing 30k wouldn't bother me and my bills are paid 6 months in advance.

Thanks ahead for any advice😂 basically I'm a lost puppy, and banks scare me to death.

Edit : not scared of leaving my money in a bank I am scared of throwing a large amount of money in with finance managers and bankers to see little or no return.
