Hi All,

I figured I start here with my issue, since you finance pros seem to be so helpful! I am having a small existential crisis. Like the title says, tomorrow is my 22nd birthday and I am graduating with a Bachelor's in Hotel Management on Sunday. I have 0 debt (scholarships paid for school) other than my car lease, a 750 credit score (3 credit cards), and around 30k in the bank. I live in Los Angeles with my parents, and plan to do so for at least 2 more years.

After completing a major milestone, I have no idea what to do now. I want to invest some of the 30k somewhere but I don't know where to start. I want to do something with low to medium risk and put 15k towards it or something of the like. But where do I go? I am very busy and stocks, unless they're blue chip, are going to be hard for me to track, and since I don't know what I'm doing I would probably end up losing more than I invest. I also want to have access to my money when I need it.

Goals: I want to invest in a condo property, but 30k isn't going to cut it in this town, thus the waiting/investing. I am an accountant for a hotel and hopefully will be promoted to management soon (not a for sure thing). I also want to take certificates in Info Tech, but that will be down the road.

My expenses are: Lease: $200/month Insurance: $124/month Phone: $100/month Rent: $234/month Gas: $40 - $60/month Fun/food/misc: $150 - $200/month Income: $17.25/hour, 40 Hrs./week. (full time). Taxes: about 15% of the total pay period, so more like 14.66/hour so 14.66802*12= 28K/year

As you can see, I am fortunate enough to have minimal expenses and in a very good place to become an investor, but this is really out of my area of expertise.

Any advice would be appreciated :)
