Working in banking you're expected to continually push credit products to customers.

Today during my normal Saturday cold calling, I called a 76 year old woman (a perfect prospect for credit products), I made the offer and she started crying so I asked what was wrong. She told me she was $86,000 in credit card debt. She had to reverse mortgage her house and drain her savings just to make minimum payments on her cards. Retail banking is so devious when it comes to targeting prospects for credit (i.e. the elderly and those who've recently lost the main provider in their household). Dealing with people's finances in the way you do in retail banking you really see how many people out their are in ruins because of predatory credit products.

The only bit of good news is I was able to sell 3 cards today so at least I'll keep my job.
