I recently purchased the Craftsman Evolv 52 piece homeowner tool set. I chose this because of Craftsman's lifetime warranty and stellar reputation, and of course the selection of tools.
The set arrived and the pieces feel small, plasticky, and cheap. Some are also labelled "China," so I'm assuming all of the pieces were made there, and this sub has a poor opinion of Chinese-made tools.
Can anyone help me throw together a similar set for around-the-house jobs that might be better quality at a similar or marginally-higher price? I would like a hard box/case, and I think I prefer having a screwdriver with exchangeable heads rather than different screwdrivers. Of everything that is included, I am not sure I need the socket or knife, and I want tools with a lifetime warranty.
Or perhaps there is a different BIFL pre-made set that you recommend? The other threads I saw are a few years old.
