I have this piece of wood (that I believe is black walnut) that I would like to turn into a side/end table of normal height. My problem is that I'm not sure what to do about the legs. As you can see in the pics, the piece of wood is slanted on the underside, and I would like to keep it that way. However, this poses problems for me when putting on the legs. I'm worried about how narrow the piece is compared to its length. It is also kind of heavy (probably 15 lbs or so). This might pose problems trying to make the base wide enough to support it. I don't want it to look like a baby deer trying to walk across ice but I do want the legs to have a slight angle. My idea right now is to put three legs on it, two at the front slanting forward and out a bit, and one toward the back or "skinny" end slanting back. My main problem is figuring out a way to attach them to the curved underside of the piece of wood. I have access to a pretty extensive amount of woodworking tools, so that shouldn't be a problem. Any advice or suggestions you have would be much appreciated! Thanks! via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2sFRKZA
