Hello Reddit, first time posting here, hopefully this is the right sub. I'm still pretty new at this.I'm heading to my off grid camp and need to hook up a pressure washer. I'm thinking about a 1/4 hp submersible utility pump powered by a generator to supply water from the lake through a garden hose. My question is how much deadheading can these little pumps handle?If I'm off the trigger for too long will it burn out? It's less than $100 but I'd like to get more than a weekend out of it.I know they're pretty tough based on other types of liquid I've seen pumped through them, but it's always to an open sewer.Any thoughts on this would be helpful. via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2rdhjz9
