Checked out the sale after work, no line but there were close to 100 people at any given time.

Shoes: Nothing really, three half empty racks with J. Crew brand chukkas, plain toes and crap. All in off sizes (8.5 or 11.5)

Suiting: Great blazers across all sizes, mostly Ludlow. Not a ton of quality linen for a summer sale. Mostly thick wool or lesser quality cotton. Just like previous sales, the suiting is separate so finding your jacket size and matching pant size is the proverbial needle. I went back and forth playing the match game and ended up with two sets. Most pants have an unusual sizing so tailoring is necessary. (ex. 32x34)

Shirts: Just your average button downs, $25-$40 each. Similar to what you would find in the clearance section at a J.Crew store

Sweaters: Great selection. Just a ton of quality wools in cardigan, hoodie or pullover style. Four huge racks of a bunch of different colors and thickness.

Winter Coats: Two small racks in the back. Most of the mediums are gone. Styles are the regular wool ones you see everyone wearing in the fall.

Jeans: Not much left. Just weird sizes (34x34) or colors (off-white, shades of khaki).

Shorts: Huge selection and what most people were there to pick up. The usual pastel or summery patterns (plaid, anchors, lobsters) that they usually sell for $60 in stores in the summer. $25 each.

Overall, there was an abundance of summer shorts and fall sweaters. Not a surprise considering the feedback J.Crew wants from the sale. If you're looking for these, or have an eye for picking out worthwhile Ludlow blazers, the sale is for you. Also, it seemed like they were constantly bring out new stuff, even during business hours.
