So, my parents just got sentenced to a year each in jail (I think the reason why is irrelevant). Mind you guys, this is in Norway. I don't know where else to post this really.
In addition to the jailtime, they also have to pay compensation from anywhere around ~USD 6000 to ~USD 12000 each, which could total up to USD 24000. Now, we're a relatively poor family, and don't have such an amount saved up. Our family consists of our two parents, and three children. 22YO male, 21YO male and an 18YO female.
We are thinking about selling the house, and pay compensation with those money, and buy a smaller house. What do you guys think?
