This has been in my back pocket for the better part of the past decade, but the current hype warrants discussion. Credentials on request, I want to make two things clear:
-
Climate change is inevitable, Paris agreement or not.
-
This is not necessarily a bad thing
Many regions in the northern hemisphere will see an agricultural boom. The Dakotas, Saskatchewan and Minnesota will consistently see bumper crops in the coming decades thanks to longer growing seasons, less drought, and an increased variety of potential crops, juxtaposed against diminishing returns in traditional agro powerhouses (southern US, Missouri? etc? it gets a little fuzzy)
How to capitalize on this impending growth is another story. What say you?
