So I received a bill for an emergency room visit, and it said that I owe 815, and that I got an "uninsured discount" that reduced it from 1255. So I called, because I have insurance, and they said that the hospital just uses that as a code for how much insurance paid. Well that sounds stupid and fishy. I called my insurance...they never received a bill from the hospital. So now they are having the hospital send them the bill. The amount of time and stress I've wasted because of incompetence and/or lies from this billing service is remarkable.
