I've had my license suspended since Jan 2016 and I can get it back soon. I'm a student that goes to school out of state and I'm back in Austin, TX (home) with my parents until early Sept. I'm now working a full time job now and I need a car, but Id rather go through a peer to peer purchase rather than a dealership.
I have a 10k budget, but I'd prefer to spend no more than 5k. I can be swayed for somewhere in the middle depending on make, model, miles, transmission, etc...
I'm looking for a 2010+ model that has a good sound system. My parents plan to sell it when I go back to school in Sept.
I guess you could say that frugality isnt my MAIN goal for this purchase, I just hope I can land the best deal possible to have a fun and productive summer that includes road tripping. My dad and I have searched through the Offer Up app and found some prospects, but some of you guys are experts here with experience so I'd appreciate any and all suggestions!
What app/website would be my best resource in this situation?
I understand that beggars cant be choosers so I'm flexible and open minded.
