Since y'all are posting $50 chinos and calling it "frugal", I thought I'd mention these, they're good ones that are cheap. They're medium in weight, thicker than Banana Republic standard chinos. I think the quality is better than the standard BR chinos (which seem too thin to me) but not quite good as the Banana Republic Heritage line. They're the best chinos I'm aware of at such a low price.
I figure you guys want the slims, but they also have straight fit and traditional fit. Just search for 'casual chino' at Lands End for the full selection.
