Japan's population is aging and shrinking. Deaths are 1.3 million/year. But births are now under 1 million/year (2016 stats).
What will the country do? Its economy is flat and looks like it will soon drop due to reduced consumer spending and productivity.
How to invest? Will the country have to devalue the yen? If so, then an ETF like YCS looks interesting. Will the Nikkei drop? If so, shorting that general market looks worthwhile. Will their housing market drop? If so, are there any pure plays on, say, Tokyo real estate?
