Hi DIY!I want to build myself a really basic desk / table for writing and working on a laptop. 48 x 24 inches, with steel legs.I don't want a skirt or any more framing on the legs.I've done some cursory research, and think plywood is my best bet. I feel like (given the size of the desk) my options are:Glue two identical 48x24 and 3/4 inch thick plywood sheets togetherUse one sheet of baltic birch in its 1 inch thick variety (a local lumber store carries it for reasonable enough prices)I'm super new to this, so I'd prefer to do the latter. I've read that it's much stronger and flatter than most plywoods, but my question is would it be strong enough?I obviously want to prevent sagging. I live in Los Angeles, and not by the coast so humidity isn't a huge factor. Thanks in advance for your help! via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2qF2hD6
