Hello Reddit,
I am a 24 year old (m) college drop out that is having severe financial issues. I am indebted to multiple agencies (old realty companies, my university, phone provider, loans) to the tune of nearly $10,000. I'm currently working a part-time job but I'm earning what could be defined as jacksh*t. I live with a friend, but likely will no longer be living with him because I can't pay my rent. I owe multiple agencies, & I don't know what to do. My credit is poor (500) & I can't get a loan. I have nobody to cosign because I come from poverty, & many of my friends are in a similar position as myself. For those of you that have been through this & found your way out, or anybody else that has any suggestions, please help. I'm starting to feel like I'm in financial damnation & I just don't know where to start.
I got into this situation because I was incredibly foolish with my money around the age of 18. I had a lot of it & I spent it on nonsense. Now, I'm in a position where I know the importance of financial responsibility, but being down, it really feels like I'm out as well.
If you have any questions that may help the resolution, please ask them. I'll answer anything. I'm just looking for advice. Thank you.
TL;DR - 24, in severe debt to many agencies, cannot get loans (no consigner), low paying job, bad credit, college drop out - wants to return but owes a lot to the powers that be
