Not sure if this is the right subreddit for this, but I am a home blacksmith, and I would like to do my small part to help the environment. I use a coal fired forge to heat my material, though I know coal is terrible. I'm wondering if anyone can recommend a burn agent other than coal that is more environmentally friendly and not prohibitively expensive?I've looked at gas, but it's expensive compared to coal, and LOUD, because of how many jets you need to use to heat the metal in any sort of reasonable time frame. Between that and the need to convert my forge, I'm not very attracted to using gas or propane. via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2qGJCKT
