I'm reading the intelligent investor and I have a good understanding of finding intrinsic value. I have a good grasp on looking for debt of a company, ROE/ROI and basic fundamentals as such. However, I can't really grasp how to value the big stocks like AMZN, GOOGL etc. I know it's tied to earnings but that's about it. Is there a specific method/equation/screener that you all use?

I want to be able to derive my own analysis of a stock that's independent of popular opinion. I don't like being told a stock is 'good' to invest in without articulating why. Any thoughts and comments are appreciated!
