Basically, what figures/numbers do you use to determine whether or not to buy a stock? Reading the news helps and all, but in terms of figures, how do you decide? Like the price earnings ratio, ideally the lower the better, because its giving me a ratio of how much i spend per share vs how much that share earns. But i want to figure out what other metrics/stats people use to help sway them one way or another to decide whether or not to buy a stock. (All this excluding blue chip stocks like apple, google, amazon, etc.) Any help would be HUGELY appreciated.
