Hello Reddit!
I'm in a bit of a bind. About 2 months ago, my job situation changed. I went from working 60 hour weeks to 40 hour weeks so I could go back to college. I'm getting paid $12 an hour and my checks are barely above $600 every two weeks. I'm living with my boyfriend, and we do not share the bills. We are responsible for our own financial situations.
Average take home pay: 1200
Bills:
Car payment 350
Car insurance 260
Phone bill 100
Credit card A 150
Credit card B 75
Netflix 12
Groceries and toiletries ~ 400
Gas ~ 180
Books ~ 50-100
Total~1527 + cost of books and misc expenses
What can I do to fix the gap? Do I need to refinance my car or sell it? It's not possible for me to get extra hours at work. My boss is 100% about me staying in school, but I don't think I can afford to continue. Any ideas on how to proceed?
