x-post from r/landscapingI've gotten some great help from here before, and my backyard job is almost finished. So thanks for everything so far! I have two more questions that have come up. Up to now, we have dug, levelled, layed gravel, tamped gravel, layed sand, tamped sand. It's a large project, so we weren't able to lay pavers the same day we put the sand down. And of course, it decided to rain. (We had checked forecast and it was supposed to be sunny for a week). Would rain do any damage to the tamped sand? And is it okay to lay the pavers on the wet sand or should we let it dry? Second question - We have our area sloped away from the house as we've seen to do. But we were planning on putting a little brick wall/ledge around the pavers which separate the paver area from a garden on 3 of the sides. My concern is that the water will slope down, and then just pool up against the brick garden wall. Any thoughts on what to do? I was thinking to create a gap of 6 inches or so between that back brick wall and the pavers that I would fill with gravel or pea gravel so the water can drain into the sand/gravel/soil. Any thoughts? Thanks! via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2t256PW
