Hey guys, any help would be appreciated. I am not handy at all but am learning as things break around the house.I bought a TV mount on Amazon to install in our sunroom. I think the sunroom was built as an addition a few years after the house was built.I need to find a stud to drill into from the sunroom side. Using my studfinder, I found two studs on the wall that is on the other side of the sunroom (in the house). The sunroom wall seems to be made out of a different material, and my studfinder cannot find the stud from the sunroom. I dont know anything about home consteuction but I doubt the sunroom wall has its own studs. My question: Would it be okay to drill from the sunroom into the stud that was built into the house originally? Or is this distance too far? Here's a link showing some picturesPicture 1: sunroom sidePicture 2: wall on the opposite side, I marked two studs but it's hard to seePicture 3: Gives idea of wall thickness. It is a little bit thinner as the door frame doesn't sit flush with the walls. via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2txqnjS
