I wanted to build a desk but due to limited room I have my mind on set on building a coffee table that I can raise to a desk height. I've been looking for examples of current builds out there and found this one. http://ift.tt/2tkbPbr Now, I originally had no idea to build this since I've never worked with gears but with a little digging I found this. (Possibly correct) The wheel is attached to a worm shaft which helps move the gear when turned. (acting as a worm gear). The worm gear helps move the racks in a vertical motion. (acting as a pinion gear). If this is correct how would I connect the two gears? (One on each side of the leg).
