Hi. I have got this old arcade cabinet. Besides the screen, that is broken, it works, but I want to empty it, install inside an old PC and use at as an emulator. Now I have time to do it and I started to do some research, and I would like to have some advice before starting purchasing stuff. My idea is to connect joystick and buttons to the PC, buy some screen with a VGA port and install MAME or any other emulator. I think the trickiest part is connecting the controllers to the PC. I am not sure what is the best option to connect them.First, I thought about changing them to new ones. But I will keep this my last option, because I think it would look better if I keep the originals. The best option probably is to buy a J-Pac and use it. It should work and be easy, but it is kinda expensive for me.Right now, I think I am going for buying other adapter like this. I think it should work, but I can't be sure until I try it.And lastly, another option would be to throw away my old PC, buy a RPi and install everything on it. But I may need to buy some adapter for the controller, I don't know. And that is about all. Any advice? via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2ttK3cz
