Someone who I trust who was hired on at the same time as me for the exact same role confided in me when I asked, and said they were paid 11k more than myself. That was really frustrating to hear, especially when we do the same exact work. Another person on my project signed on with me as well and is the laziest person I know and they are making more than me. I even know other people from the same orientation class who, while they didn't get signed to my project, are also payed a similar amount more than me.
I don't want to come off sounding like a greedy asshole who just expects more money because someone else is making that, but I would really like to bring it up somehow in a professional manner and talk about what I think I should have been earning from the beginning.
Is there any good way to approach this in a review, or am I just being greedy?
