My wife has about 3k in unpaid medical debt from 2014 that has destroyed her credit. At the time she was "uninsured" and paying out of pocket. We just found out this week that her father has had her on his insurance plan the entire time and had never told her. We tried to speak to the hospital billing department however they said since it is in collections they can do nothing. Her insurance has been unresponsive as well. How should we pursue this?
