Backstory: My dad was an immigrant. He met a guy from Suriname and he spoke Hindi (we are Indian) and he also was an accountant. He then went to be his accountant (I think unofficially) and he also had a childcare (Dutch= kinderopvang) and my dad used it for a while. But in 2011, my dad asked him to stop the childcare. My dad thought everything was fine until he got letters from the tax authorities. So my dad asked him to fix this and talk to the tax authorities. But nothing came, expect more debt. My dad really wanted him to pay the money. So he hired a lawyer, she can't do anything now. Today we got a letter and we only have 7 days to pay off the debt. I'm only a 16 year old kid, my sister is still young and doesn't work, my brother couldn't do good at school and jobs. My father tries to work as hard as he can and so does my mom. But we don't have enough money and can't get enough in 7 days. What do we do? This looks like the end to me
My dad got "scammed" because he needed someone who spoke the Dutch language and now he is in 25K debt and has 7 days to pay. My family doesn't know what to do and we're in tension Sorry for sloppy English I wrote this quick I am really worried
