I have 2 cars: One for commuting and the other for weekend adventures. I'm debating on getting rid of my daily commuter (starting to break down on me and is expensive to fix - Old 97 bmw that was given to me) If I do get rid of the commuter, should I:
1) Invest in a more efficient used daily commuter?
2) Turn my weekend car into my daily commuter (2016 4Runner)
I'm just concern about putting lots of mileage new car and the subpar mpg (I commute about 60 miles per day).
My gut intuition (given the situation) is to just use the 4Runner as a commuter as it is a reliable car, maintenance and repairs are cheap (cheaper), and it is already paid for.
Looking for other people's recommendations and opinions.
