When I travel overseas to Asia, flying out of Vancouver is cheaper by a few hundred $$$ even with a one way rental car. At least this was the case until my last trip.
I was able to rent from Seattle airport for about $60 per day last September through Costco Travel and drop it off at YVR.
This year around the same time, there is nothing available for less than about $130.
However, if I rent from a neighborhood Avis/Budget etc via Costco travel, and return it at the same location, the rates are as cheap as $39 per day or about $56 for a weekend. But at this time, I don't have anyone who can drop me there, and bring the car back to Seattle area.
I can take Amtrak, but they don't allow checked baggage, which there will at least be 1.
Are there other options I could try to get to Vancouver for cheap? Thanks all.
