Hi ya'll, I've never really budgeted anything this far ahead so I'd like to make sure I'm getting it right. When I crunch the numbers it seems doable, but with margins this small I'd appreciate a little assurance ;)
Here are the details:
Plan to Leave : November 22nd
Current Bank Balance : About $3,200 US
Monthly Expenses (Rent, Bills, etc) : $1100 US
Monthly Income : Around $3,000 US, after tax.
--------- GOALS ----------
Travel Fund : $3,000 US
Getting There: $1,200 (plane tickets, visa, gear)
AUS Bank : $3,000 US (close to $4,000 AUS)
US Bank : $3,000
So the way I see it, affording this trip would require a budget surplus of around $1,200 a month, leaving $250 for all things food, toiletries, and other such essentials.
Is it doable? Am I missing something? Would love to hear some insights. Thanks ya'll!
