For almost as long as I can remember I've daydreamed about the idea of buying land somewhere in the woods and building my own cabin. I like the idea of physically making a place where I can live (if not immediately while I'm working than sometime in the future) and of getting away from the hustle and bustle of the large metropolitan area where I currently live to be outside.
That being said, I have yet to find a community of people who have the same exact vision. Sure there are subreddits of people who like cabins and simpleliving, but I'm really searching for the combination of these things. I want somewhere to share thoughts on the considerations to think about when buying land, building a place to live as well as the benefits of being in a rural setting, etc.
Anyone know if this exists?
