I'm 18 years old making 10.25 an hour and have about 3,000 saved up. I will be going to college which will be about 11,000 per year(I am commuting). But my parents will be giving me 10,000 per year to help with school. I currently have a 2003 Acura RL with 130,000 miles on it thats worth about 5,000. I am worried that this car won't last me all the way through college so I am looking to buy a new to me car. I am currently looking at a 2013 Hyundai sonata hybrid for 8,000 with 82,000 miles on it. Is paying the 3,000 now worth it or should I drive my current car as far as it'll go and buy a different car then? Thanks for any replies.
