Amazon's IPO back like 20 years ago wasn't even a billion. Nowadays there are these giant private companies like Uber, Airbnb.. that have gigantic valuations and they don't seem to be concerned with an IPO because they can use private equity funding.
How come? Because of them being able to value themselves lower for less ownership dilution?
