I make automated contributions to my investment account at the start of each month. That means I am always buying my ETFs at the start of any given month.
Has anyone ever done studies on which day (or week) of the calendar month is usually best to invest in the market? Like, first Monday of the month, last trading day of the month, that sort of thing...
Since I am buying and am still young, 'best' would in this case mean relatively cheaper price in contrast to its neighbouring days, or weeks.
Before some of you get excited, I don't think this qualifies as timing the market since I am buying regularly no matter what (and am not selling). I just wanted to know if some days (or weeks) were better than others, reliably, over a long period of time.
