The beginnings of these calls are scripted. The numbers are posted before the calls. Articles are written before the call starts. Someone will summarize what happened and give you their opinion on what was important.

Since that's out the way, how many times do you get to hear upper management talk about their company in detail? It's rare. On the call, you have a chance. You can hear their voice. You also get to listen. Where does their voice change? What do they talk about first? What are they excited about?

Although a lot of prep goes into this call to make it flow smoothly, it still matters how they present the information. The Q&A is super important. You get to see how the management team works together to field questions and hear what questions stress them out a bit more or make them a little uncomfortable.

Once you see the company's potential and read and understand their financials, you should have a solid idea about how you should invest. Hearing a call live gives you little tidbits you can't get any other way. Calls are good. Listen to them.
