If you haven't lately, see what competitive offers are out there for your cell phone service. 30 minutes of quick investigation led me to a much better plan and service.
After 20+ years with Verizon I decided to see what other carriers had to offer me in my coverage area. I was paying $70 a month for a plan that allowed up to 1GB a month in data. When I called Verizon to complain they offered me the same plan for 2GB a month. The cheapest 'unlimited data' plan was $85 a month NOT including all the additional taxes and fees. When I spoke to T-Mobile they offered me $70 a month for their 'unlimited data' plan and since I live on a down slope from all cell towers they threw in a free LTE minitower, this is something Verizon expected me to pay $250 for. They also threw in a $30 credit on my account towards the Verizon $40 disconnect fee. So in short I pay the same monthly rate but I am now uncapped AND my home service is now 5 bars.
